Instructional Changes beginning August, 2009
With the consolidation of elementary schools, Instructional Technology Specialist and the Literacy Coach positions were merged into an Instructional Coach position.
Collaborating with Mr. Craig Carter, Assistant Director of Curriculum and Personnel and Mrs. Susan Pendergast, Assistant Director of Technology, the Instructional Coaches are working to create a new role that blends both the core curriculum support and integration of technology into classroom instruction.
Getting to know your Instructional Technology Specialist

What we do:
The Instructional Technology Specialist (ITS) served as an instructional technology mentor and provided support to classroom teachers and staff in the integration of technology to improve student learning.
The ITS was responsible for facilitating meaningful activities to develop teachers’ technology skills and knowledge, assisting in aligning classroom instruction and curriculum to technology outcomes.
