Seaman Technology: Instructional

Welcome to Instructional Technology

Instructional Technology provides the connection between the tools and the teaching.  Learning takes place through the utilization of Instructional Coaches to provide integration support to classroom teachers and the Computer Lab Assistants (CLA) to provide computer skills instruction to students.

 

Instructional Personnel

Instructional Technology Specialist
Six (6) Instructional Coaches at the elementary level, one (1) Technology Facilitator at SHS and part time support at SMS.
Computer Lab Assistant
Four (4) CLA instructing basic computer skills to students in the elementary computer labs.
Assistant Director of Technology (liaison to the Director of Technology) directs, supports and evaluates the Instructional Technology programs at the elementary level.

 

Instructional Technology Curriculum

Classroom Integration - Utilizing curricular standards and NET-S (ITSE's student technology benchmarks), technology tools such as interactive boards/pads, document cameras, video cameras, etc. are used to enhance students' learning during classroom activities.
Computer Lab Instruction - A combination of McGraw-Hill/SRA TechKnowledge software and skills based projects are used to instruct students grades K-6.  The instruction is reviewed annually.
