Ensure that every student has an
opportunity to learn the technology skills that will enhance
learning in today’s educational environment, and will foster
success in higher education and on into the work force;
Ensure that staff and
administrators have continual opportunities to improve their
professional skills and integration of technology to enhance
instructional practices, communication, and
productivity.

Instructional Technology Department Goals
1. Update the technology infrastructure
Outline the cost for the ongoing operations of programs and
services as well as for upgrading the infrastructure.
Continue to improve the technology infrastructure in the district
and upgrade the infrastructure, as necessary
Maintain network integrity, equipment reliability, and cost
efficiencies in the delivery of network operations and support
services
Maintain databases and Consolidate (Student Information System,
Sped,, health, library, food service, transportation, teacher
information system) where possible
2. Assist administration in deploying
efficient and regular use of technology between administration and
staff (both teaching and non-teaching).
Offer Professional development
Assessment of professional development
Support and encourage staff in the use of technology
3. Continue to support integration of
technology into curriculum
Expand the use of technology in the classroom
Continue to finds ways to determine the impact of technology
use
4. Increase communication with the
community
Expand the use of the web for communication
Communicate homework, lesson plans, parent involvement
Offer the community more opportunities to observe technology use in
the schools
5. Assist in building based technology
implementation
Ensure equity in technology resources and staff
Enlist administration to champion curriculum enhancement through
technology use.
