Parents as teachers is a program for all parents with children up to 3 years of age.

  • Trained Parent Educators help you be your child's first  best educator
  • Increase your parenting confidence and competence
  • Visits adapted to your needs and concern and your child's development
  • Discover your strengths and use them in your everyday parenting
  • Develop effective strategies to make it through parenting rough spots

 

Through

  • Personalized Visits to help you learn about child development, how your child's brain is developing, talk about concerns, ask questions, and share the joys and frustrations of parenting.
  • Play Groups where children can learn to play with others and try new activities, and parents can meet and share experiences.
  • Regular Developmental Screenings to reassure you of your child's progress and to help identify potential problems.
  • A Resource Network that can help parents find services in their community, if needed, beyond what PAT can do.
