Pleasant Hill Elementary’s McTeacher Night was a great Success
October 09, 2008
Pleasant Hill staff donned their neon green McTeacher shirts, laced up their working shoes and headed over to McDonald’s at Hunter’s Ridge last Tuesday night. Teachers swept floors, wiped tables and chairs, filled orders, pandered for tips, and waited on Pleasant Hill students and their families for a great cause --- money for our school! We raised a total of $1044.66 with $309.60 in tips and $735.06 from 20 % of the sales from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.!!
The students and their families were so excited to see their teachers working at McDonald’s. One little first grade student was very concerned as he asked his teacher, “You’re working at McDonald’s? You’re not going to be my teacher anymore?” It was to his delight that we are keeping our day jobs!! Thank you so much McDonald’s for allowing us this opportunity! It was great to interact together – teachers, students, and families – but also earn a little money in the process!
