Shawnee Summer Scorecard
The Shawnee Summer Scorecard is for elementary and middle school aged students. The Shawnee Summer Scorecard is the work of a community coalition interested in reducing risk for overweight and obesity in area youth. This program is modeled after a CDC initiative and is designed to encourage self directed physical activity for youth ages 8-15. There are no fees for participation, and incentives are available to reward youth for maintaining or increasing physical activity during the summer.
If you are interested in participating in this program and picking up a scorecard, contact the PE teacher at your child's school. To activate your scorecard, e-mail Lisa Martin at ljmartin@ksu.edu, or contact her at 785-232-0062 Ext.119, with your name, address, city, state, zip code, telephone and e-mail address.
