Coordinated School Health Awards

October 25, 2007

Collaboration Award recognizes a school district that has developed an active network of partners within their school district and their community to help achieve the goals of Coordinated School Health Programs. This award goes to Seaman School District for their efforts to increase partnerships within their school and their community. They have partnered with Kansas Safe Kids, Healthy Kansas, YMCA, Maximus Fitness, Jazzercise, Team Sporting Goods, Midwest Dairy Council, Subway, North Topeka Golf Center, Gage Bowl, KS Beef Council, North Topeka Optimist, Kansas Trails Council, St. Francis Health Center, Dick's Sporting Goods, Children's Mercy and Shawnee North Community Center, just to name a few! Through these partnerships, the council has been able to accomplish amazing things and has taken on a variety of projects.
