Great things continue to happen at NH as we enter the final month of the 2007-2008 school year. We have had an outstanding year at NH and it's hard to believe that it will soon draw to a close. The conclusion of this school year will also mark the end of an era as Seaman Middle School will take the place of Northern Hills and Logan Junior High Schools for the 2008-2009 school year. The final day of school on May 22 will bring mixed emotions as we say good-bye to the 7 th graders for the summer and to NH forever. Please plan to join us as we celebrate the closing of NH with activities planned for the month of May.
While it is easy for the concentration and production levels of our students to start dropping during May, our expectations do not change from the first day of school through the last. As always, your support of the teaching/learning process is greatly appreciated as we continue to work together to help our students to succeed. Great things have happened at NHJH this year:
PENNY DRIVE: We raised over $3700 for the North Topeka Outreach
GUARDSMEN HOME FOR THE HOLIDAY: NHJH Stuco donated $350 to the Kansas National Guard Foundation
ADOPTED FAMILY: NH Staff adopted a family for the holidays
TOYS FOR THE RESCUE MISSION: Mr. Tomanek's 9th grade students made and delivered wooden toys.
CANNED FOOD DRIVE: The math department donated over 3600 items to the rescue mission.
HELPING HANDS HUMANE SOCIETY: Students donated money for the helping hands humane society. A competition was held between grades and the 7th graders won.
